Inspiring the Next Generation of Engineers: IESL YMS "Talk to School" Program

The IESL YMS is reaching out to ignite students' interest in engineering careers! This program visits schools to show how mathematics and physics contributes to exciting real-world applications. By seeing these subjects in action, students are encouraged to pursue physical science stream in their advanced level studies, laying the foundation for a future career in engineering.

The program proceeds with the help of IESL provincial chapters and IESL student chapters of Faculties of Engineering, which assist in organizing the events, finds enthusiastic young engineers to speak, and make sure everything operates smoothly. YMS has already conducted 5 programs covering below educations zones.

1. Trincomalee Education Zone at Trincomalee / Sri Shanmuga Hindu Ladies’ College

With the success of above initial programs, it has been identified that the IESL YMS "Talk to School" program is poised to make a significant impact in inspiring the next generation of engineers across Sri Lanka. By bringing the thrill of engineering to the life for students in various educational zones, the YMS is laying the foundation for a future filled with innovation and development. We are eagerly waiting to conduct the upcoming programs in Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Mannar, Ratnapura, Gampaha, and Kurunegala, and to induce positive influence on students in these regions.
