Dear Member,

2020 Fees: The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) subscription fee and Engineering Council, Sri Lanka (ECSL) registration fee for the year 2020

As you all know, other than Life Members of IESL, all members have to pay Annual Membership fee8. Since 2019, some of them (read instructions below) have to pay Engineering Council, Sri Lanka (ECSL) Annual Registration fee, too.
IESL generates two separate invoices and you should have already received the two invoices for 2020,  via email. If you have any clarifications in this regard, kindly contact praneeth@iesl.lk with a copy to mgr.fin@iesl.lk.

Relevant information regarding ECSL registration fee:

  • Following IESL membership categories have to pay the ECSL registration fee every year, in addition to IESL membership fee

  • In year 2019, ECSL payment was made by the IESL on behalf of its Members who were on the roll as at 31st March 2019.
  • From year 2020 onwards, Members of the IESL have to pay subscriptions for both IESL and ECSL. IESL has already sent two separate invoices; one for the IESL membership payment 2020 and the other for the ECSL registration payment 2020.
  • Honorary Life Fellows (HLF) and Honorary Life Members (HLM) who are not required to pay IESL membership fee can choose to pay the ECSL registration fee for which they receive the invoice for ECSL registration for the year 2020, if they intend to actively practice as engineers in 2020.
  • Those who do not pay ECSL registration fee on or before January 1st of 2020, will be removed from the ECSL Registries ( www.ecsl.lk ) and will appear in ECSL registries only upon such payments to IESL first and subsequent indications to ECSL Registrar by the IESL Secretariat(IMPORTANT: To be registered in the ECSL Registries, you must have the IESL membership, thus settlement of IESL membership fee is mandatory).
