COVID-19 is not a barrier! IESL Conducts Examinations with more than 130 candidates!
IELS General Qualifying Examination, Civil Engineering was held today at SLT Training center, Walisara with the participation of more than 130 candidates.
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 education sector has been heavily bombarded. The education system of the country has been profoundly based on classroom sessions and face to face lectures. With the advent of the new COVID-19 virus things have changed dramatically. Distant learning concepts such as, online classes, online presentations, online assignments are widely practiced. But, the examinations are still conducted the traditional way.
The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, successfully conducted the IESL General Qualifying Examination on 2021/01/25 at SLT Training Centre located at Walisara with the participation of more than 130 candidates. The examinations were held following the government imposed rules and regulations. Candidate were requested to wear the facemask for the duration of the examination and were asked to keep the one-meter social distance. Sanitizers were placed at multiple locations and hand wash facilities were provided at the entrance. All candidates and inspectors had to go through a temperature check before entering the premises.
The examination halls were arranged keeping the one-meter distance between candidates and were requested to enter and leave the examination hall raw by raw avoiding any bottle neck situations at the doors. The inspectors of the examination and the registration desk were also strictly following safety protocols, wearing safety gowns, safety gloves and face covers.
