“Sri Lanka, in particular, has a great engineering tradition, with its ancient kings engaged in great engineering wonders such as irrigation networks, stupas, fortresses, gardens etc. IESL as the premier body for professional engineers in Sri Lanka is bound to carry this great tradition and celebrate achievements and accomplishments of our fellow engineers to encourage them to the pursuit of excellence in the profession” said the president of the IESL Eng. (Prof.) T M Pallewatta, addressing the audience.
The next engineering excellence awards will be held in 2021 and the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka wishes to carry this tradition as it is their duty and commitment to the engineering profession in Sri Lanka.
