UPDATING CONTACT DETAILS FOR THE IESL ELECTIONS - 2021

1. IESL Council has amended the voting procedure for electing members to the Council with effect from year 2021 in order to gain maximum advantage of the technology advancements, reduce the administrative difficulties/ cost and introduce more user-friendly/ convenient voting method.
2. As per this new council approved election rules, the voting Procedure is in the following manner.

Voting duration is restricted to Two (02) week period starting from a Friday. Prior to calling for nomination for election, each eligible voter will be given an option for voting; either electronic voting or paper voting (only one option). Voting facilities shall be provided for each voter in the following manner:

a. Overseas members:

Overseas members will have only the option of electronic voting.

b. The voters residing in Sri Lanka:

i. The voters residing in Sri Lanka may select the most convenient way of voting for themselves, voting either through electronic ballot or paper ballot (only one option)

ii. Those who do not indicate their preference will be given ONLY Electronic voting facility.

3. In accordance with these voting procedure amendments, all members are requested to submit following details to CEO/Executive Secretary by email/post or updating the individual member profile in the IESL MIS (preferred) system.

b. Mobile phone number

c. Postal address

4. All emails should be sent to es@iesl.lk and letters to the IESL postal address

5. Voting procedure for voters will be submitted to all eligible voters in due course.
