NOTICE CALLING FOR A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held on Sunday – 18th October 2020 at 9.00 a.m. at the Auditorium of the Disaster Management Center, 120/2, Vidya Mawatha (Off Wijerama Mawatha), Colombo 07 (in front of the IESL) to discuss and adopt the under mentioned, as resolved by the Council.
(1) To regularize the notice of the AGM of 2020
(i.) This House resolves that the AGM of 2020 shall be held on 31st October 2020 at the Committee Room of the BMICH, Colombo 07, as already informed to the general membership by email on 2020/09/01 (though notice of 120 days required as per the By-law 86a has not been given due to exigency arising from COVID -19 pandemic)
(ii.) This House resolves that the notice calling for Resolutions as already informed to the general membership by email on 2020/09/01 is applicable for By-law related resolutions (though 90 days’ notice required to be given as per the By-law 86b for By-law related resolutions, had not been adhered due to exigency arising from COVID-19 pandemic)
(2) To debate and adopt Amendments recommended to the existing By-laws by the Council For (kindly refer the link: https://app.box.com/s/sl31nc1p55ticxhvt7dxh2fpz50kjudi ).
