The annual Induction and Graduation ceremony of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) for the year 2015 was held at the BMICH on 28th August, 2015 from 4.30 pm onwards. Prof. Mohan de Silva, Chairman – University Grants Commission graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. This year’s event conferred Chartered Engineer status on two hundred seventy eight (278) Associate Members of the institution inducting them into the fold of Corporate Members. Fifty two (52) students who successfully completed the IESL Engineering Course also received their certificates. The event also saw awards being presented to winners of several memorial awards for various categories of engineers and final year undergraduates obtaining best marks for industrial training. School children who excelled in the annual Junior Inventor of the Year Competition affiliated to the Sri Lanka Science and Engineering Fair and the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair also received Scholarships.
