CPD Course on Extra Low Voltage

Building Services Engineering Sectional Committee (BSESC) successfully completed CPD course on ELV part-2 recently.

Total course duration was 36 hours and 39 participants have followed the course. Most of the practically important topics that are directly related for building services such as MATV, CATV, Public Address, Access Control and Car park management systems were conducted by well experienced lecture panel.

Extra Low Voltage (ELV) applications are becoming essential and taking a major portion in building services engineering. Moreover, ELV applications are continuously being advanced due to fast technological improvements in electronics and communication.

Main objective of the course is to upgrade the ELV knowledge of industrial engineers and enhance their design capability. Course is comprised with worked practical examples thereby gain knowledge on design criteria.

Four resource persons; Eng. Samantha Gunawardane, Eng. Prasanna Narangoda, Eng. Indika Wanniarachchi and Eng. Jagathlal Wickramasekara have delivered their lectures with practical experience. BSESC will plan to conduct CPD course on Fire Detection and Protection systems, in October 2015.
