5. USING MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR PROFESSIONAL REVIEW (PR) PROCESS

Professional Review (Charter) is the Icon of the Institution and Engineers’ dream in their professional carrier.

Chartered Engineers are educationally qualified and have gained the highest level of professional competencies through monitored on the job training and monitored professional practice. PR is a peer-reviewed process.

IESL fully use our MIS system for the PR online process - application to award - from June 2021.

The system is used for accepting applications, reviewing documents, nominating panels for checking eligibility of candidates, providing feedback comments and even arranging Interviews, etc.

All stakeholders can see the process progress and can communicate with appropriate process steps owners (see the PR process flow chart below)

6. APPLYING FOR PROFESSIONAL REVIEW (PR) ONLINE– CHARTER

Enrolment for the Professional Review has begun on 1st June 2021. As a pilot, in this round we are not imposing a closing deadline. The Intention is to reduce the process elapsed time of 6-9 months (make it closer to the activity time) by removing holding periods, while strictly adhering to PR Rules to ensure PR rules and guidelines as per the latest PR Manual on the web (don’t refer old hard copies)

With this implementation, young engineers can apply online whenever they are ready with all necessary documents, then begin the process without waiting.

IESL Membership Division now has a real-time status report to monitor the progress of applications.

Further He / She is sensitive to developments taking place in other areas of the society such as political, social, economic, and environmental, etc., locally and globally. The examination also checks whether he/she is adequately conversant with the technological and managerial aspects of his/her profession.
