In 2014‐2015, IESL NSW Chapter organised a series of lectures/ presentations in order to share knowledge among engineers. The lectures were conducted by experienced engineers sharing their experiences and expertise in the industry as well as young engineers presenting the outcomes of their projects which have contributed to the advancements of the field of engineering. Eng. (Dr.) Jagath Peiris has been appointed as the CEO / Executive Secretary at the IESL Secretariat and will take over duties with effect from 1st January, 2016. Eng. (Dr.) Jagath Peiris obtained his BSc Eng. (Mech./ Prod.) from the University of Peradeniya and his Doctorate in Business Administration from the USA. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Manager (UK), a Chartered Marketer (UK) and a Chartered Management Accountant (UK).
