IESL Qatar Chapter- CPD Event - 2 - “Contract Management and Claims"
 

Qatar Chapter conducted their 2nd CPD Programme, titled “Contract Management and Claims” on 6th April,2018 at Jupiter Hall, Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, Qatar.

 

This CPD event was resourced by Dr. Shaun Crawley, Head of Contract and Claims- PORR Qatar Construction WLL.

 

Dr. Shaun is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in dispute resolution and related activities across wide diversity of Building and Civil Engineering Construction projects in Middle East, Far East Asia and Sub-Sahara Africa countries.

 

During the CPD, Dr. Shaun briefly discussed on various Conditions/Clauses of Contracts, Concurrence Delays, Liabilities, Extension of Time, and validation of Variation Orders under current government laws.

 

Also he explained on Estoppel in the absence of binding contracts, consequences of wrongful terminations, contract administrations and determination of disputes ect.

 

The main intention of the IESL Qatar Chapter is to share its knowledge with engineers and the other professionals such as Architects, Contractors, Lawyers and Quantity Surveyors attended this informative CPD event.

 

IESL Qatar Chapter awarded Certificate to all attendees.

 

During the CPD event, Dr. Shaun Crawley unveiled Qatar Chapter T shirts, which was a noteworthy milestone of IESL Qatar Chapter and would definitely help to spread IESL brand name across the State of Qatar.
