The IESL Bak Maha Ulela 2018 was held at Ape Gama, Sri Jayawardenapura, Kotte on Saturday, 28th April, 2018 from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Refreshed by the partaking of the symbolic milk rice and avurudu sweets – Kavum Kokis.

The Bak Maha Ulela began with the lighting of the oil lamp and welcome address by the IESL President, Eng. (Prof.) Mrs Niranjanie Ratnayake. From then on the day was filled with all the Fun and Games such as competitions for Bun eating, Hula hooping, Kotta pora, Kana Mutty, Lime & Spoon race, gunny bag race, musical chairs, etc. etc. The Kamba Adilla competition drew much enthusiasm, as usual, among the more than 350 participants comprised of IESL Members and families and staff.

The event was organized by the Civil Engineering Sectional Committee of the IESL. The IESL President, President Elect, Chairmen –current and past of the CESC, CEO and DES distributed the prizes sponsored by Seylan Bank.
