The 4th Annual General Meeting of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka - Qatar Chapter was held at Oryx Rotana Hotel Doha on 26th of January 2018.
The Sri Lankan Ambassador to Qatar His Excellency A.S.P. Liyanage was the Chief Guest of the event while IESL President - Prof. Niranjanie Rathnayake was the Guest of Honour. IESL (Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka) is the apex body for engineering in Sri Lanka which regulates the engineering practices inside the country.
The event started with the welcome speech given by the Chairman of the Chapter - C.Eng Jagath Gunasekara. Event was graced by the speeches given by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour followed by the technical presentations delivered by chapter engineers and also by invited specialized experts. Further the financial statement for the past year has been presented by Eng. Asoka Jayalath. The event was concluded by the vote of thanks given by chapter Vice Chairman Eng. Kamil Ariff followed by the fellowship and dinner.
