Our IESL "mover and shaker" is none other than Eng. Tilak De Silva who became the President of IESL in October 2012. Eng. Tilak De Silva is known to many at IESL not because he became the President, but because he served the IESL for almost 15 years since 1998. He has served in many Council Appointed Committees and Sectional Committees as Chair. He put all those experiences to "get things done" at the IESL at a crucial juncture of our beloved Institution when it was needed most. Undoubtedly, the outgoing President's tenure has already been a journey of relentless work ethics, commitment to the vision and missions of the IESL, sense of urgency, operational and public relations excellence, organizational expansions at provincial / district levels and steadfast belief in his Engineering education's / profession's capacity to do wonders.

As he approaches the end of his tenure at the helm of IESL, it is appropriate to look "back" to see what has been achieved under his leadership and more importantly look "forward" to what WE should ACHIEVE COLLECTIVELY (in his own words!) But, first, let us get to know this man at a personal level.
