The library is located on the ground floor of the IESL headquarters. It has a collection of 5,500 books ready for lending covering almost all engineering disciplines and 500 books for reference. The fully air conditioned library has three Internet connected computers for members use. It is also WI-FI enabled and members could use their own note books / tablets for internet browsing.

Library provides remote on line access to its catalogue and many other on line facilities through the Institution's web-portal at www.iesl.lk (Education & Careers > Reference Libraries) and you will need a username and a password to access. These credentials are required to have access to our new Membership Management System through which we provide a gateway to the library and much more! If you have not done already, please contact the Membership Assistant, Ms. Nimesha Sewwandi to get your credentials in a matter of few minutes. You must be a current member of the IESL. Once logged into the system, using your IESL My Library membership ( different from the above) you can access catalogs, etc. You can obtain on line My Library membership by simply obtaining a username and a password from the Librarian.

The library opening times are from Monday to Saturday from 09.00am to 04.30pm and it is closed on public and mercantile holidays.
