Today I was called by several members those who attended the technical presentations to inquire why the attendance was not satisfactory. This was not a NEWS for me as I have observed this lack of participation in the technical presentations and sometimes even the presenters did not turn up. Lack of audience always discourages the presenters and once it has become a usual habit, next possibility would be a less number of technical papers at the annual sessions. Read more...

The library is located on the ground floor of the IESL headquarters. It has a collection of 5,500 books ready for lending covering almost all engineering disciplines and 500 books for reference. The fully air conditioned library has three Internet connected computers for members use. It is also WI-FI enabled and members could use their own note books / tablets for internet browsing.
