Attractive Discounts Introduced for Members of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka

The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) has introduced several new benefit schemes exclusively for its members, further strengthening the value of IESL membership. These initiatives, launched through the efforts of the IESL Member Benefits Committee in partnership with selected organizations, are aimed at providing attractive discounts and special privileges to active members and their immediate family members.
The newly introduced schemes are expected to deliver tangible advantages to the engineering community by offering cost savings across a range of services. Through these strategic collaborations, IESL continues to expand its member-centric initiatives, ensuring that professional affiliation with the Institution brings both professional recognition and practical benefits.
Available benefit schemes at the moment are as follows.
- Durdans Hospitals and Laboratories
- Vision Care
- BOC Prestige Credit Card
In order to claim these benefits, members are required to be in active standing with IESL and present the official Confirmation of Eligibility letter issued by the Institution on 13th February 2026. This letter, which has been circulated to active members whose ID numbers are available in the Membership Information System (MIS), serves as proof of entitlement and must be presented together with a valid National Identity Card when obtaining services from partner organizations. The Confirmation of Eligibility letter is valid only for the specified year and is subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the respective service providers.
Members whose ID numbers are not yet available in the MIS have been requested to forward their membership number along with a scanned copy of their National Identity Card to the designated IESL email address in order to facilitate the issuance of the Confirmation of Eligibility letter. Through these new initiatives, IESL reaffirms its commitment to enhancing member welfare and strengthening the overall benefits of belonging to Sri Lanka’s premier professional engineering body.
