Techno 2024 Exhibition by IESL: A Grand Showcase of Engineering Excellence

The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) successfully hosted the Techno 2024 exhibition from October 11 to 13 at the BMICH, bringing together professionals, innovators, students, and businesses under the theme "Engineering the Path to Prosperity."



This year’s exhibition saw tremendous participation, with over 100 commercial stalls showcasing the latest technological innovations, products, and engineering solutions. The event attracted thousands of visitors, including students, industry professionals, and members of the public, eager to explore advancements in diverse engineering fields.

A key highlight of Techno 2024 was the IESL Building Clinic, where visitors received expert advice on construction, design, and building management. Additionally, a seminar room hosted a series of well-attended discussions, workshops, and presentations by industry leaders, addressing topics relevant to both national development and engineering innovations.



Various sectional committees and provincial chapters of IESL actively participated in the exhibition, offering insights into specialized fields of engineering. University stalls were a major attraction, with students from leading institutions displaying research projects and prototypes, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.



The exhibition was praised for its ability to provide a platform for both local and international companies to network and explore business opportunities, contributing to Sri Lanka's journey toward sustainable growth and development



Techno 2024 reaffirmed its position as Sri Lanka’s premier engineering and technology exhibition, highlighting the critical role of engineering in driving prosperity and national progress.



The Techno exhibition, now in its 36th year, is Sri Lanka’s longest-running engineering and technology showcase. This year’s event is organized under the leadership of Eng. Granie R. Jayalath, President-Elect of IESL and Chairman of the Techno Organizing Committee. Known for its continuous promotion of innovation and technological advancement, Techno 2024 is an important event for both the local and international engineering communities.
