In my first message of this year in the President’s Corner, I paid tribute to our members in the Provinces and overseas, who are carrying on their duties in all corners of the country and other parts of the world as well, contributing to the development activities from the wealth of knowledge they have acquired from their education and the training and experience in the field. History was written on 15th July 2018 by France beating Croatia at Football world Cup 2018 in Russia. The tournament was conducted in several cities in upgraded or newly built infrastructure. It is learnt that Russia spent more than $14 billion in hosting the event. Main cost items had been transport infrastructure, construction of stadiums, communication infrastructure, and security. During the planning it was estimated that 1,000,000 tourists will visit the country across the four-week tournament period. Read more... >>>

AWAIT……. National Engineering Conference - For the first time in the provinces
National Engineering Conference 2018 to be held on Friday, 31st August, 2018 in Kurunegala, at the Kshathriya Villa Hotel, Mawathagama, on the Kurunegala-Kandy Road. IESL will be arranging transport for members who register to travel from central locations in the outstations and IESL headquarters, if there is a demand.

IESL Council elected by the corporate members every session is entrusted with the responsibility of governing matters related to IESL and its members. It meets once a month on the first Friday and as needed on specially scheduled days. Decisions taken at a meeting are ratified in the following meeting and published on the website via a secure link here.
