The 97th birth anniversary commemoration of Deshabandu Eng. (Dr.) A.N.S. Kulasinghe by the IESL was held on Wednesday, 26th October, 2016 at the Wimalsurendra Auditorium of the IESL.

Eng. Aravinda Perera, Chairman, Siyapatha Finance Ltd., Former Managing Director Sampath Bank delivered this year’s memorial lecture which was on “Technology and Innovation In Banking Industry”. The lighting of the traditional Oil Lamp and garlanding of the late engineer’s photograph by the President of the IESL preceded the lecture. This time the IESL had joined hands with the Central Engineering Construction Bureau (CECB) in publishing a newspaper supplement to mark the event. The event was attended by a capacity crowd from many engineering organizations in addition to Past Presidents and Council Members of the IESL.
