Last year there was a visit to Malaysia organized by the civil engineering sectional committee and also during TECHNO exhibition there was a Members’ Lounge, and it all ended up in big success. All these events helped the engineers bring back their memories with laughter.

Re-union of engineers is a great event and I personally would like to have a weekend of such gathering during the Annual Sessions and TECHNO period. Engineers from all the provinces used to visit Colombo during that time and it is not difficult to organize such events with lots of entertainment. As we all know, the engineers of the country spendtheir time on development activities and sometimes haven’t met old friends for years. I request engineers to come up with good proposals even to have such provincial level grand events.

Let’s wait for the day when the engineers mark their annual reunion dates in their calendar so that they have the opportunity to reconnect with their fellow engineers as an annual event.
