Objection to Employing Development Officers Instead of Technical Officers for Construction and Development Project Examination

The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) was informed that, at a recent Divisional Secretariat meeting, a proposal had been discussed to employ Development Officers instead of Technical Officers for the examination of construction and development projects.

In response, the President of IESL formally communicated with the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, expressing strong objection to this proposal.
