IESL MESC Annual General Meeting 2025 / 2026 – The beginning of a new tenure with a fresh hope to thrive
The Annual General Meeting of IESL Mechanical Engineering Sectional Committee (MESC) – 2025 / 2026 was successfully held on Wednesday, 14th November 2025, at the Wimalasurendra Auditorium of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), with the presence of the President of IESL, Eng. Kosala Kamburadeniya, CEO, Eng. Neil Abeysekara.
Eng. Ruwan Nagahawatte discharged his duties as the chairman of IESL MESC, concluding his outstanding and fruitful tenure, and Eng. Kamal Wimalaratne assumed the duties as the new chairman of IESL MESC, bringing a hopeful vision to escalate the committee's momentum and steer it towards achieving its aspirations.
The president of IESL, Eng. Kosala Kamburadeniya also shared his insights on how the sectional committee's progress should align with the IESL objectives, emphasizing the process improvement of standardization, developing competencies, raising the national influence, strengthening global membership, upholding professional ethics, and sustainability.
