Job Satisfaction of Sri Lankan Civil Engineers and its Impact on Project Performance in construction projects
I am Lasantha Balasuriya (IESL membership no: AM-13295), a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa. I am currently pursuing the MSc in Construction Project Management programme. As part of my research, I am examining the Job Satisfaction of Sri Lankan Civil Engineers and its Impact on Project Performance in construction projects. The main objectives of my study are as follows.
- To assess the prevalence of job satisfaction among civil engineers in Sri Lanka’s construction sector.
- To evaluate the impact of job satisfaction on key project performance indicators such as adhering to timelines, budget compliance, safety records, etc.
- To identify the dominant factors influencing job satisfaction among civil engineers.
- To propose evidence-based strategies for construction firms to enhance project outcomes through job satisfaction.
