Job Satisfaction of Sri Lankan Civil Engineers and its Impact on Project Performance in construction projects 

I am Lasantha Balasuriya (IESL membership no: AM-13295), a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa. I am currently pursuing the MSc in Construction Project Management programme. As part of my research, I am examining the Job Satisfaction of Sri Lankan Civil Engineers and its Impact on Project Performance in construction projects. The main objectives of my study are as follows.

1. To assess the prevalence of job satisfaction among civil engineers in Sri Lanka’s construction sector.
2. To evaluate the impact of job satisfaction on key project performance indicators such as adhering to timelines, budget compliance, safety records, etc.
3. To identify the dominant factors influencing job satisfaction among civil engineers.
4. To propose evidence-based strategies for construction firms to enhance project outcomes through job satisfaction.
