Mech Cast – First-Ever Engineering Podcast Series in Sri Lanka.

 With the advances in broadcasting technologies and digital content, the means of knowledge sharing and acquiring have become convenient than ever before. All the knowledge we want to grasp is at our finger tips. Video sharing being the dominant player in this arena, audio digital content also known as podcast is widely used for educational purposes. With the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic, these emerging technologies have gained more prominence in society today.

 In this context, the Mechanical Engineering Sectional Committee of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka has launched a new podcast series “Mech Cast” covering a wide variety of engineering-related topics. The maiden episode of the Mech Cast series is now available for those who crave knowledge and wisdom.

In the maiden episode of “Mech Cast” Eng. Tilak De Silva, Chairman of ECSL, discusses the Engineering Council Sri Lanka and its importance to Engineers as well as to the general public with Dr. Dulini Mudunkotuwa, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura who is the moderator of the initial “Mech Cast”.
