Engineers who wish to follow the CDP route or Mentor route are required to fulfill the following steps. (Clause C, G and J of the PR Rules)

  • · Ensure to select the  Chartered Engineers from the given Link  (Click Here) according to your engineering discipline and  specialized areas
  • · Make sure to collect his/her consent letter and bio data
  • · Confirm your project proposal with his/her signature (CDP Route)
  • · Submit all necessary documents (consent letter, Bio data of the supervisor and the applicant and the project proposal)to IESL for  prior approvals. (before commencing )

Professional Standard Management Committee (PSMC) approved date will be the effective date for the CDP route or Mentor route.

    • IESL will generate two separate invoices each year; one for the IESL annual membership payment and the other for the ECSL annual registration payment.
    • Honorary Life Fellows (HLF) and Honorary Life Members (HLM) who are not required to pay IESL membership fee, will have to pay the ECSL registration fee if they intend to actively practice as engineers.
    • IESL Members who are employed overseas may not need to register for ECSL.
    • Those who do not pay ECSL registration fee on or before 01st January of each year will be removed from the ECSL Registries (please refer ECSL website: www.ecsl.lk ) and will appear in ECSL registries only upon such payments to IESL. Note that, only paying ECSL registration fee, one cannot register in ECSL

     

    Benevolent Fund (Optional) – Minimum Contribution – Rs. 500.*

     

    Special Notes

    1.1 In respect of the membership subscription fees, a discount of 25% will apply to members other than Student Members who are above 60 years of age and who declare that their annual income is less than Rs. 600,000/=.

    1.2 A Corporate Member or Associate Member, Affiliate Member or Engineering Technologist or Companion or Associate may continue in his respective class at half rates of subscription on reaching the age of 60 years provided he has been a subscription paying member for a minimum period of 30 years. Such a member is not entitled to the discount stated in 1.1

    1.3 Honarary Life Fellows (HLF) and Honarary Life Members(HLM) are not required to pay annual membership subscriptions.

    Benevolent Fund

    The Benevolent Fund, offers financial assistance to members and their dependents when they are considered to be in distress by the Board of Management of the Benevolent Fund. All members except those in the class of Student Members regardless of their contributions to the Benevolent Fund are  eligible  to  be  beneficiaries  of  the  fund.  The  members  can  seek  financial  assistance  for  themselves  and  their dependents.  Children  under  21  years  of  age  or  those  who  are  differently  abled,  spouse,  parents  if  the  member concerned is / was the only child in the family are considered as dependents of a member. Under special circumstances dependents of a deceased  member will be  considered  for assistance from  the fund provided that a member in the class of Fellow has certified the application.
