I am very happy to inform that a JIY 2014 Competition winner managed to win a Grand Award this year too at the Intel ISEF 2015 competition held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvanis , USA. The Intel ISEF is where the best of world’s best young scientists and inventors from over 60 countries come together each year to share their ideas, showcase their cutting edge science and engineering projects and win awards and scholarships. The JIY competition was pioneered by the IESL in 1985 to promote creativity and innovation among school children. Many JIY winning school children has gone on to participate in the Intel ISEF in the US and win prestigious prizes doing the country proud in the international arena. These together with preparations for annual flagship event, the Techno Sri Lanka Exhibition, are a cross section of the activities that are currently being done and will gain momentum in the days to come to be ready for either for the Induction and Graduation Ceremony in October or the Annual Sessions in October.
